RAJOURI, Apr 13: A human skull was recovered from Channi Parat area of tehsil Sunderbani in district Rajouri today.
A villager noticed the skull lying in a nallah and informed police and local residents of the area. The people and police reached there after some time. The incident triggered panic in the area. The SHO Sunderbani said that according to locals of the area, about three weeks back a cremation was going on at the bank of a nallah in the same area. Suddenly, heavy rain started and the members of the funeral possession vanished. It was believed that skull which was half burnt washed away in the flood. However, investigation in the case has been started, he added.
