Akhand Ramayan Paath held by Gao Raksha Samiti

JAMMU, Apr 13: Jammu Gao Raksha Samiti organized “Akhand Shree Ramayan Paath” at Gao Raksha Bhawan, Ambphalla Jammu with traditional fervour and gaiety.
Akhan Paath was started by Brig D R Sharma on April 12 at 10 am. On the occasion, Prof M Chander Shekhar was the chief guest while Prof Hari Narayan Tiwari was the Dharam Pracharak (chief spokesperson). Prof Tiwari congratulated the Samiti. He lauded the Samiti for looking after the cows and their progeny.
Samiti president Dr Surinder Kumar Sharma highlighted the significance of the day and informed that Jammu Kashmir Gao Raksha Samiti is a social and voluntary organization, adding that about 300 cows and their progeny, which are old, ailing unproductive and unclaimed, have been kept in Gao Shalla Jammu, Dhatereyal in Marh block and Jandrah in Dansal block.
The programme was conducted with Aasrti and chanting of ‘Ganga Geeta, Gao Mata; Bharat Ki Hai Nirmata”.
