KATHUA, Apr 13: Four passengers were injured after a speeding matador bearing number JK02 9813 which was on its way from Kathua to Lakhanpur turned turtle near Degree College here this morning.
According to reports, the driver of the matador fled after the accident. The reports said that matador was in a fast speed and chasing another matador on the same route. After reaching a distance of about one kilometer it tried to make a sharp turn to overate the another matador and turned turtle injuring all the four passengers traveling in the matador. They were shifted to Kathua District Hospital for treatment. Their condition is stated to be out of danger.
The people of the area protested against the increasing accidents on Kathua -Lakhanpur road due to speeding of the matadors. They accused the Traffic Police of paying a deaf ear to their request made at a number of times.
