JAMMU, July 1: Kana Chak Police rescued an abducted minor girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, on June 24 this year, a complaint was lodged by a man hailing from Raipur Satwari area with Police Station Kana Chak stating that his 17-year-old daughter has been kidnapped from Purkoo area.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 98/2020 under section 363 IPC was registered at Police Station Kana Chak and hunt was launched to rescued the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
On specific information, a team from Kana Chak Police Station headed by SI Mohammad Bashir Trabbi and PSI Kanwaljit Singh conducted raid and rescued the abducted girl from Duliya Bari Brahmana area of District Samba.
The abductor identified as Amit Kumar alias Rocky (21), son of Hans Raj of Old Satwari was also arrested on the spot.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Kana Chak Police Station Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Jammu Suram Singh.
