JAMMU, July 3: Congress weakened Urban Local Bodies and murdered democracy for 70 long years in the country and now they are shedding crocodile tears, said Sanjay Kumar Baru, JMC Councilor and Convenor of BJP Urban Local Bodies Cell.
Sanjay Kumar Baru accompanied by BJP Media Incharge, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Mandal president Neeraj (Lucky) Puri JMC, Councillor, Cell co-convenors, Surjit Singh (Pappu Choudhary) JMC Councillor and Sharda Kumari JMC, Councillor was talking to reporters at BJP Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
Baru attacked Congress for its undemocratic working and utter failure to address the public issues for seven long decades. He said that Congress leaders themselves failed as the representatives of the public and now they are shedding crocodile tears over non-existent issues just for the sake of photo sessions.
He said that in these few previous years, BJP has done more work than the Congress did in about seven decades. He said that BJP has delivered on its every poll promise, be it at national level, State level or the local governance level.
Baru, said that unprecedented development works have been done in Jammu by JMC and added that working of the essential services like PHE, PDD have been improved, street lights, high mast lights have been installed and many more projects are still being worked on.
Sanjay further mocked at the Congress by pointing out that presently the national party is in severe crisis and on various occasions, it is hiring independent people to speak on their behalf.
He mocked that the Congress Mayor once demanded 74th amendment and Congress responded by showing him the way out of party immediately.
Baru said that in previous so many decades, while Congress was ruling the nation, they didn’t bother to implement any of improvements in the local body governance as they didn’t want to decentralize the Government administration. He said that it was the only BJP that strongly demanded for the ground level good governance and implemented all the needed reformations.
He said that in whole of the nation, there were regular local body elections; but local body elections in Jammu & Kashmir always remained elusive and moreover even in few cases when they were held, they existed only as puppet administration with no powers transferred to them. When now BJP is dedicatedly working to serve the masses selflessly, Congress is making hue and cry to ruin the progress, he lamented.
