SAMBBA, July 3: Vijaypur police has arrested one bootlegger and recovered a total of 50 bottles of DMB special Whisky from his possession.
Acting on reliable information regarding the sale of illicit liquor at Vijaypur town and in its adjoining areas, a police party of Police Station (PS), Vijaypur rushed to the spot and arrested one person namely Ravi Serath, S/o Nanak Singh Serath R/o Kharrnanta, Janjgir Champa, Chhatisgarh A/P Bhagatpur, Ramgarh from Vijaypur main market who was selling illicit liquor to the general public at exorbitant rates to gain illegitimate profit.
Police seized 50 bottles of DMB special Whisky (180 ml each) were from the possession of accused person.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 116/2020 U/S 48 (A) Excise Act has been registered at P/S Vijaypur and investigation started.
