JAMMU, Apr 14: Vice Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri, Prof IA Hamal, today inaugurated a dormitory in SOS Balgran, which shall enable its management to admit ten more new entrants between the age of 5 to 9 years.
The dormitory was constructed through public donation of SOS Children’s Village Association (Balgran), Channi Rama, Jammu and contribution of Poonam and Ponit Nanda in the memory of their son.
The chief guest visited various dormitories and mess. He also visited Bal Bharti Public School, health centre, vocational centre, library and computer centre of SOS Balgran.
Earlier, the inmates of SOS Balgran staged Sarswati Vandana and composite cultural programme of all the three regions of the State.
President of SOS, Balgran, expressed his gratitude to Prof Hamal for granting admission to one of the meritorious inmate of SOS Balgran in BE Tech Course in Computer Sciences during 2011-12 and requested him to consider their meritorious imates for admission in future as well.
