Bail denied in gang rape case

JAMMU, July 8: Principal Sessions Judge Reasi Kamlesh Pandit has rejected the pre-arrest bail applications of four persons namely Shah Din, Tariq Ahmed, Nasir Ahmed and Wazir Hussain, who were allegedly involved in gang rape case.
After going through the police report, the court observed, “accused persons who have absconded from the investigation are facing charges of gang rape which offence is very much against the society and against the victim”, adding “this act leaves an indelible mental scar on the victim and leaves a festering wound on the soul of the victim that gives a sharp pain at unknown times”.
“It is a mutilation that affects the most visceral disgust of the self at most unsuspecting hours. In fact, rape is a seed of trauma that unfolds in a victim’s mind for rest of her life. Rape permanently alters a person’s existence”, the court further observed.
Accordingly, court rejected the bail application.
