JAMMU, July 8: Gharota police arrested a shopkeeper along with illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gharota Police Station led by ASI Anwar Hussain conducted raid at a tea shop at Kot Morha Patitanala and recovered 10 filled and 6 empty bottles of illicit liquor and arrested owner of the shop.
The arrested person has been identified as Kartar Chand, son of Thoru Ram of Kot Bhalwal.
A case under FIR Number 43/2020 under section 48-E Excise Act has been registered at Gharota Police Station and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Gharota Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma, SP Rural Suram Singh and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
