JAMMU, July 10: To pay tributes to their party colleague and a nationalist leader, his other family members who attained martyrdom in the militants attack at Bandipora two days back, BJP organised various Shrandhanjali Sabhas across Jammu region today.
A “Shradhanjali Sabha was organized by BJP district Jammu Kachi Chawni under the leadership of Vinay Kumar Gupta BJP district president, Jammu.
Former Deputy Chief Minister J&K, Kavinder Gupta, former MLC Ashok Khajuria, Yudhvir Sethi, vice president J&K, Baldev Singh Billowaria JMC Chairman Health and Sanitation, district general secretaries, Ankush Gupta, Kuldeep Khandari others were amongst the prominent party leaders who paid their final respects to the departed souls.
Kavinder Gupta termed it as desperate attempt of Pakistan sponsored militants to fail ongoing peace process in J&K. He added that BJP stands with the family and the perpetrators of crime will not be spared at any cost.
Vinay Kumar Gupta district president said that the death of the BJP leader is a huge loss for the party and added that their ‘sacrifice will not go in vain’.
The BJP leaders also protested against killings and said perpetrators of such gruesome acts are not well-wishers of Kashmiris. District Jammu office bearers, East Mandal,OBC Morcha,Mahila Morcha were also present in the protest.

At another Shradanjali Sabha BJP leaders’ including former State president of the party, Sat Sharma (CA) along with Mayor, JMC Chander Mohan Gupta paid floral tributes to its leaders Sheikh Wasim Bari, his father and brother.
The Sabha was held under the leadership of district president Jammu West Munish Khajuria. District general secretaries, Advocate Rajesh Gupta and Advocate Karan Sharma, Mandal presidents, Raveesh Mengi and Keshav Chopra and other senior leaders were also present.
Paying tributes to Bari and his other family members, Sat Sharma said that Sheikh Wasim was one of the many youths who were working towards improving the overall condition of youths in the Valley and he worked for improving the lifestyle of thousands of poor people who were benefited under various Central Government sponsored schemes. Chander Mohan said that the slain activists of the party were victims of the Pakistani sponsored terrorism which does not want Kashmir to flourish in any way.
Munish Khajuria said that the supreme sacrifice by Sheikh Wasim and his family members will not go in vain.
Another Shradhanjali Sabha was organized by BJP Mahila Morcha at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar here. The condolence meet was organised under the leadership of State president, Mahila Morcha Sanjita Dogra. Vice-president of Morcha, Monika Khosla, Anita Gandotra, secretary Vaishno Devi, spokesperson Mahila Morcha Neetu Rajput paid their respects to the departed souls. Programme was organised by Morcha general secretaries, Neha Mahajan and Urvashi Gupta.
BJYM Jammu Rural has also strongly condemned the killing of party leader, his father and brother. The party unit held a protest against the killings under the leadership of its president Deepak Raj Pandey in which Government was asked to crush terror with iron hands.
Another condolence meeting was held by the party in Bhadarwah in which glowing tributes were paid to the slain party leader, his father and brother. Paying tributes to them BJP senior leader and former district president, Advocate Manjit Razdan and former MLA Dalip Parihar said their sacrifice will not go waste and described Wasim Bari a true nationalist who challenged the terrorists like a roaring lion.
BJP Kathua district under the leadership of district president Raghunandan Singh Babloo paid glowing tributes to Wasim Bari and his other family members and said their name will under go in golden letters in history. Municipal president, Naresh Sharma, party general secretary, Vicky Sharma and senior leader Prem Nath Dogra were also present.
