SRINAGAR, July 10:
About 95 kanals of kahcharai land was retrieved in Shopian, an official spokesman said on Friday.
He said during an anti encroachment drive in village Awend and Khurampoora of district Shopian, a team of revenue officials headed by Tehsildar retrieved 95 kanals of Kahcharia land from encroachers. The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin appreciated the efforts of the team and warned people to refrain from such mischievous acts, which would harm the public good. He said that the strict possible action would be initiated against the encroachers and legal action warranted under rules would follow.
The DC said that the people should safeguard the public property rather than harming it and help Administration to safeguard the same. (UNI)
