JAMMU, July 14: The dead body of a minor girl of age about 10 years was recovered today from Tawi River in Belicharana area of Jammu.
According to a police official, the girl who used to work as a rag picker, had went missing yesterday after which a case of kidnapping was registered by Belicharana police. “However, her dead body was recovered this evening from River Tawi in Belicharana area,” the official added.
He said that the body had been shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu and postmortem will be conducted tomorrow. Belicharana police had taken cognizance of the matter.
