JAC raises long-pending issues with Secy Jal Shakti Deptt

SRINAGAR, July 16: A delegation of Joint Action Committee (JAC) of various engineering graduates association of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical wings led by its Chairman Er Firdous Ahad Bhat, President, JKMEGA today called upon the Commissioner/ Secretary Jal Shakti Department M Raju.
The delegation assured him all the support and cooperation from the Engineering Associations in realizing the dream of the development of the Union Territory of J&K.
The delegation requested the Commissioner/ Secretary to continue the mission of resolving the legitimate and genuine issues of the engineers which he had initiated as the administrative secretary of the Power Development Department.
The JAC apprised him of the long pending issues of the fast-tracking the regularization of in-charge placements, issuance of SRO for the ACP scheme, filling up the vacancies at different levels and rationalization of the engineering services which includes maintenance of a common cadre and expansion of the engineering infrastructure especially in the mechanical wing of the Jal Shakti Department.
The Commissioner/ Secretary gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them of redressal of all the genuine issues in a time-bound manner.
The delegation included Er Farooq Ahmad Ganai (President, JKCEGA), Er Munshi Majid Ali (President, JKEEGA), Er Ashaaq Ah. Ashaq (Gen. Secy JKCEGA) and Er Muzaffar Ahmad Jan (Member, JKCEGA).
