KISHTWAR, July 16: The dead body, which was recovered yesterday from river Chenab was of accident victim.
As per police sources, some passerby noticed a male dead body lying near Trungal bridge and informed the police.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the body to hospital for identification.
During identification, it came to fore that the body was of Sandeep Kumar Rahore, son of Prem Singh of Karthier Paddar District Kishtwar.
The deceased was one of the victims of the tipper accident, which happened on June 18 this year at Paddar in which 6 persons were drowned in river Chenab and their bodies went missing.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Cognizance in this regard stands taken by Atholi Police.
