JAMMU, July 17: Hem Raj, IDSE, Regional Officer (J&K), Jammu today inaugurated newly constructed Highway Nest Mini facility on both up and down side of Bann Toll Plaza to facilitate the highway commuters.
NHAI is developing the facility of Highway Nest Mini on up/down side of the toll plaza at a distance of 200-250m ahead of the fee axis so as to facilitate the road users throughout the Country.
The Highway Nest Mini have the essential facilities including toilets for ladies and gents and physically challenged persons, kiosks for sale of packaged food items such as chips/ biscuits/ cookies/ water bottles/ soft drinks and tea & coffee vending machines, drinking Water and the area for parking of the vehicles etc.
Ajay Kumar Rajak, Project Director, NHAI, PIU-Jammu informed that the bids were invited by NHAI RO Jammu for Operation and Maintenance of the Highway Nest Mini and Prem Di Hatti, Kud, Udhampur has been awarded the said work for a period of 3 years.
He also informed that these Highway Nest Mini will also be installed at other Toll Plazas across the UT for facilitating the road commuters by providing drinking water, snacks, Tea/coffee etc and toilet facilities.
