6 drivers booked for violating prohibitory orders

RAMBAN, July 17: Police booked six drivers for violating prohibitory orders issued in wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
As per police sources, keeping in view the prevention of spread of Coronavirus pandemic, a team from Ramban Police Station led by Inspector Sunil Sharma under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Rajinder Chib, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Haseeb-ur-Rahman booked six drivers who were found violating the notification of DM Ramban issued in wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
The driver, who were booked were Mohammad Rafiq, son of Abdul Subhan of Panchal Ukhral driving vehicle bearing registration number JK19-2517, Sayed Mazyen, son of Mohammad Ibrahim of Sherpura Banihal driving vehicle bearing registration number JK19-3286, Hafiz Ahmed, son of Tariq Ahmed of Kundi Rajgarh driving vehicle bearing registration number JK19-5643, Arif Ahmed, son of Gulam Nabi Katoch of Barnyal Ukhral driving vehicle bearing registration number JK19-1669, Manjeet Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh Bhatyal of Gam driving vehicle bearing registration number JK19-0273 and Fareed Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid of Seri Ramban driving vehicle bearing registration number JK14B-4686.
Cases under FIR Number 109/2020, 110/2020 and 111/2020 under section 188 IPC have been registered against the drivers at Police Station Ramban and investigation started. The vehicles also stands seized.
