REASI, July 17: A free medical camp was organized in Salal-Kotli village under the guidance of N Ram, General Manager (In-charge), Salal Power Station, NHPC Limited.
The camp was organised at Panchayat Ghar of village Salal-Kotli.
This free medical camp organized under the Corporate Social Responsibility-Sustainable Development Scheme of NHPC was conducted by Dr L Bedjit Singh, General Manager (Medical Services) and his team.
The medical camp was inaugurated by the Sarpanch of Salal village, Pritam Singh.
On this occasion, Panch, Lumberdar and other dignitaries of the village were also present.
In this camp, about 205 patients of Salal village were examined and free medicines were also provided to them as per the requirement.
This camp was organized keeping in mind the prevailing pandemic. At present, public transport has also been affected due to the outbreak of COVID-19 due to which people are facing difficulties in going to the hospital and there is a fear of Coronavirus in them also due to which they do not go to the hospital for their treatments.
Keeping this in mind, Salal Power Station decided to provide medical check-up facility to the villagers at their door-step. It is also worth mentioning here that not only the Power Station personnel are being treated in the hospital located in Salal Power Station, but also free consultation and medicines are regularly given to the people living in the surrounding areas so that everyone can remain disease free.
