Refer news report 8.5 percent interest on PF deposits published in DE dt Feb 26, 2013. I as a common citizen as well as a PF subscriber am to say that it is indeed a welcome decision, step taken by the Central Board of Trustees (CBT) in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Union Labour Minister because this decision will benefit over five crore subscribers of the Provident Fund (PF).
Since, G.P. Fund is the hard earned money of an employee, therefore, I suggest that its record should be maintained very accurately by the various Distt. Fund Offices (Both Central as well as State) because many instances of mismanagement and malfunctioning has been reported with concrete evidence by PF subscribers.
Besides, it is requested to the Director Fund Organisation and all other concerned officers to kindly computerise all the Distt. Fund Offices including the Distt Fund Office Migrant Cell Sarwal Jammu so that quick disposal of cases could take place. Besides, a single computerised GPF A/c to the subscribers is alloted. Hope, such welcome decisions shall continue to pour in for the greater good of crores of Provident Fund subscribers of the States and the Centre as well.
