JAMMU, Apr 28: To carry out Aadhar based biometric identification and skill profiling of Casual Workers/Daily Rated workers etc, by an institutional mechanism, the State Government has constituted a high-level committee.
Headed by the Chief Secretary as its Chairman, the committee shall comprise Financial Commissioner Planning & Development Department, Administrative Secretary, PW(R&B) Department, Administrative Secretary Labour & Employment Department and Administrative Secretary Information Technology Department as the Members while Director (Codes) Finance Department is the Member Secretary of this committee.
To begin with, the Aadhar based biometric identification will be taken up of Daily Rated Workers, Work Charge Employees, Casual Labourers, Part Time Workers, CIV Operators of RDD, Prism-men/settlement assistants of Revenue Department, NYC, Hammals/Drivers of CAPD, persons engaged on Hospitals Development Fund, Part time sweepers in different departments, particularly in Health & Medical Education Department & School Education Department.
