JAMMU, Dec 13: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu has expressed dismay over the poor functioning of J&K administration under Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha.
In a handout AAP quoted a media report to say that Rs. 4 crore has been spent out of Rs 30 crores outlay in Tourism sector.
AAP Jammu leaders said there appears no accountability on the bureaucracy as none seems serious and responsible in Tourism sector as by the end of November 2021 hardly 13 per cent of the allocation was spent.
They said that whole Chenab valley is having numerous tourist spots which can go a long way in boosting economy of the area.
“Paddar Sub-Division alone is attracting lakhs of pilgrims in summer season every year during famous Machail Yatra in Kishtwar while there are many places with lush green meadows, waterfalls, snow clad hillocks etc which can attract lakhs of tourists and the tourism department has already identified many of such places like Jantron Dhar, Lamhote Dhar, Mata Reshwari Temple, Lambi Jai etc in Sub-Division Thathri,” AAP leaders claimed adding that spending hardly Rs. 4 crore out of an outlay of Rs 30 crore for the current year, is in itself a self speaking statement that present dispensation believes in advertisements only.
