AAP expresses concern over plight of Vocational Trainers

SRINAGAR, Aug 23: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took a dig at J&K Government for allegedly harassing Vocational Trainers.
In a press conference here today AAP leader, Reyaz Majid said, with an aim to promote vocational education in J&K and to help the youth realize benefits of vocational education, the scheme of employment of Vocational Trainers was started here and trainers were employed in the UT.
“At the time of their appointment, they were promised a proper employment policy,” he claimed.
The AAP leader further said that now these trainers are on road since long and none from the government side is bothering to establish contact with these aggrieved trainers who are being intimidated, harassed and warned of dire consequences including termination for raising voice.
“We demand that J&K government should shun its adamant behaviour towards its employees and should listen to the issues of Vocational Trainers so that these trained professionals can get their due rights,” Majid maintained adding that these Vocation Trainers under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Vocational Trainers Welfare Association have also written a letter to Arvind Kejriwal informing him about their plight.
