JAMMU, Aug 19: Hitting hard at Bhartiya Janta Party as well as LG Administration over the issue of Daily Wagers, Aam Aadmi Party has asked the Government to regularise the services of all the Daily Wagers in one go through a single order which should be based on ‘One Time Regularisation’ criteria.
AAP further promised to regularise all the Daily Wagers of Jammu and Kashmir in the first Cabinet meeting of the party Government if voted to power and stated that the party has proven this slogan and fulfilled the promise in Punjab.
Addressing a press conference, here today, AAP leader and DDC member TS Tony said, “Daily Wagers of all the Government departments in J&K are living their life on the mercy of God and have been pushed into a state of helplessness by the BJP Government and LG Administration.”
” In this high inflation period, even a regular employee getting a handsome salary is not able to bear the expenses of his household, what to talk about the life of a Daily Wager who receives very little salary which is also paid after a big gap which sometimes swells to one year,” he added.
Tony alleged that both BJP Government and LG administration were ignoring all the burning issues and genuine demands of Daily Wagers and they are being befooled to such an extent that after months long agitation, BJP leaders are still promising the agitated Daily Wagers that their demands will be taken up with Delhi and this nothing else than another lie of ruling command.
“We demand LG administration to prove its words and to issue a ‘One Time Regularisation’ order for all the Daily Wagers removing all age, quantification and bill documents bars which will end a prolonged human rights violation of daily wagers,” said Tony, adding that AAP has proven this in Punjab and they promise it in Jammu and Kashmir also that all the Daily Wagers across the UT would be regularised through a single order that too in the first Cabinet meeting if the Aam Aadmi Party is voted to power.
