AAP leader among three booked for protest over Sambhal killings

JAMMU, Dec 5: An Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and two other persons were booked here for staging a protest without permission over the recent killings in Sambhal area of Uttar Pradesh.
Advocate Safeer Choudhary (AAP leader), Mudaser Jalali, and Dr Rajinder Prasad Thappa, were protesting on the National Highway near Sunjwan area without seeking prior permission of the authorities, thereby causing inconvenience to the commuters and the public in general, a police official said.
They were accordingly booked under sections 126(2) and 191(2) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) registered at Police Station Bahu Fort, he said.
According to the police official, Advocate Safeer Choudhary earlier on November 30 led a protest in Bathindi area against the Sambhal violence.
