AAP protests against Kathua Distt Admin

KATHUA, Apr 8: Aam Aadmi Party, J&K unit, today staged protest against the Tehsildar Headquarter, Kathua for misbehaving with senior advocate Appu Slathia, who is the spokesperson of the Party.
In this connection, Taranjit Singh Tony, Chairman Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu and Kashmir for Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs and DDC Member Suchetgarh; Yashpal Kundal, Chairman ST, SC OBC Cell of AAP; Adv Appu Slathia-spokesperson, District president Hira Lal, Amit Kapoor, OP Khajuria, Mohinder Singh, S.S Shingari along with senior party leaders and workers today sat on dharna inside the premises of Deputy Commissioner Kathua and staged protest against the district administration. The protesters also met DC Kathua Rahul Pandey and submitted a memorandum in support of their demand.
Talking to media persons, Tony said it is a matter of immense disrespect and pain that a woman holding a high office in the district would hunt another educated woman down with her obfuscating and belligerent attitude. He sought strict action against Tehsildar Kathua for causing grave damage to the plight of the Scheduled Caste’ representations and intentionally abusing the senior leader of the Party.
Kundal expressed great resentment against the officers sitting at the helm of affairs. He said that the miseries of common people have increased manifold in absence of popular government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Appu Singh, in her address, expressed anguished over the behaviour of Suninder Kaur, Tehsildar Headquarter, Kathua, for not allowed her to put forth her contentions before the NCSC member, Dr Anju Bala at PWD rest-house, Kathua. “I just want to submit the plight of some Scheduled Caste’ families of Trandi Zanbura, Ramgarh, Samba but I was not allowed to meet with NCSC Member,” she added.
Appu Singh said that she doesn’t want apology from the afore said Tehsildar but she definitely needs to be reminded that she is a ‘public servant’ and should know how to behave like one.
