JAMMU, July 23: Activists of Aam Aadmi Party today held a protest demonstration against the alleged atrocities on Dalits across the country, particularly in Gujarat.
Led by Sanjeev Sareen, the AAP activists assembled near the Press Club and raised slogans against the Bhartiya Janta Party Government at Centre for its alleged failure to ensure safety and security of Dalits across the country.
They also demanded extension of SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act 1989 to Jammu Kashmir State where the population of Dalits is 20 percent.
The protest demonstration was addressed by Sanjeev Sareen, Talha Khan, Harpreet Singh, Darshan Lal, Dalvinder Bhagat and others.
