AAP’s hunger strike enters 2nd day

JAMMU, Jan 2: The peaceful hunger strike of members of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the premises of Government Medical College and Hospital, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu in order to awaken the authorities of the hospital regarding the bad sanitation condition of the toilets and bathrooms, entered 2nd day today.
The AAP members were also seen educating the attendants as well as the patients to keep the toilets, bathrooms and wash basins of the hospital premises clean for their own betterment. They alleged that their repeated requests regarding sanitary conditions in the hospital fell into deaf years of the concerned authorities, which forced them to resort to hunger strike.
Raj Kumar and Vipul Bali continued their hunger strike for the second consecutive day while Rani Devi ended her fast after one day. Today, other AAP members namely Anita Gupta, Balbir Singh and Harpreet Singh joined Raj Kumar and Vipul Bali in hunger strike.
