JAMMU, Oct 13: Uma Bhagwati Asthapan Trust Umamagri released Uma Aarti in Kashmiri in a glittering function at Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra Anand Nagar Bohri near here, today.
Former DG J&K Police and security strategist S. P. Vaid was the chief guest who released the Aarti and renowned poet Badri Nath Abilash and ASKPC president, Moti Lal Malla were the guests of honour on the occasion.
The Aarti has been composed by Pushkar Nath Koul Santosh, vice president of the UBAT and the music has been given by renowned musician, Kuldeep Saproo. The Aarti has video background of the Uma Bhagwati Shrine.
Speaking on the occasion, S. P. Vaid referred to the trend of awareness among the people towards Sanatan Dharma and was optimistic that the winds of change are blowing and the future time belongs to the Sanatanees. He was of the opinion that India is to emerge as Vishwa Guru and the Sanatan Dharma will be glorified globally.
Eulogising Pushkar Nath Santosh for composition of the Aarti, he said that only a person can compose such Aarti in whose mind the Mata resides.
Moti Lal Malla said that mere mention of Mata Uma invokes a sense of submission and devotion. Referring to Hindu scriptures, he exhorted respecting Matre Shakti (women) and unity among the community.
Badri Nath Abilash in his unique literary language and tone referred to the victimisation of the community and envisioned a bright future for the community. He was optimistic that the young generation is carrying the legacy of the community.
A large group of Uma devotees including famous poet, Pitamber Razdan , well known broadcaster, Ramesh Marhatta and socio-religious activist Yagin Bhat graced the occasion to seek the blessings of Mata.
The function started with igniting the traditional lamp by the chief guest and others. The guests were honoured with traditional garlands and temple portrait by the trustees led by president G. L Pandita. Vice president of the Trust Pushkar Nath Koul delivered welcome address and vote of thanks was proposed by its general secretary M K Khar. The programme was anchored by Ms Meenal Peer.
