JAMMU, Mar 10: Aarushi Thakur Rana, daughter of Padamshree Balwant Thakur and Deepika has been conferred with She Awards UK Arts and Culture for the year 2020 at Chigwell Prince Regent of London, powered by Sapphire London Group.
Aarushi is a professional theatre director, writer and actor based in United Kingdom (UK). Presently, she is working at Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
She has written and directed more than 30 full-length plays and acted and produced 300 plays which have been performed both Nationally and Internationally.
Having graduated from St Stephens College Delhi and done masters from the University of Leicester, UK. She decided to explore the unconventional field of the creative arts. In the 2016, she underwent training workshops conducted by NSD Delhi and Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London in 2012.
For more than 10 years, she has worked on plays that highlight issues like, depression, body-shamming, PCOS Disorder, women rights, domestic violence and child abuse.
