DODA, Apr 29: Police recovered an abducted girl from Ugad and arrested the kidnapper.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda Mohammad Sharief Chouhan told that on April 11, a written complaint was filed by the guardian of abducted girl that her daughter was kidnapped by Bilal Ahmed, son of Mohammad Shafi Mir of Bhelli.
Accordingly a case under FIR number 60/14 under Section 363 and 109 RPC was registered at police station Doda, SSP added.
Mr Chouhan informed that keeping in view the sensitivity of the case, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted headed by Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmed, DySP Headquarters Doda.
On specific information, a raid was conducted in village Ugad where from the abducted girl was recovered, SSP said, adding that the accused was also arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
