Abducted girl rescued, accused arrested

JAMMU, July 10: Gangyal Police rescued an abducted girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a man with Police Station Gangyal stating that a youth identified as Sachin Bhujal alias Bahadur, son of Amar Bahadur of West Bengal, at present Shankar Colony had kidnapped his 13-year-old minor daughter.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 88/2020 under section 363 IPC was registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Gangyal recovered the abducted girl from Kangra area of Himachal Pradesh with the help of HP Police. The accused was also arrested on the spot.
Offence under Section 376 IPC and 3/4 POCSO Act were further added in the FIR.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal Inspector Raghubir Singh and assisted by PSI Birbhan Singh Charak rescued the girl and arrested the abductor under the supervision of SDPO South Ram Singh, SP South Deepak Digra and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
