Srinagar, July 22: Police in Baramulla today recovered an abducted girl within hours and arrested the accused person involved in the crime.
On 21/07/2023, Police Post Palhallan received a written complaint from a person stating that his 16-year-old daughter (name withheld) had been kidnapped by Gowhar Abbas, son of Mohd Abbas Wani, a resident of Kralwari Chadoora, police said.
Acting swiftly, a police team from Police Post Palhallan swung into action and rescued the abducted girl within 6 hours from Gamandar Chadoora Budgam. “The accused kidnapper was arrested on the spot.”
“The accused person has been taken into custody and is now at the Police Station.”
After completing all medico-legal procedures, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs. “Further investigation into the matter is ongoing,” the police said.
