JAMMU, July 26: A minor girl, who was allegedly abducted by a youth of her native village in Reasi, has been recovered from Gummat area in Jammu.
Police has also arrested the alleged kidnapper, identified as Mohammad Younis, son of Mohd Sharief of Harotekote, Bomag in Reasi.
According to Police, the minor girl was abducted from her house in village Harotekote by the accused, who took her to Jammu. Following a complaint in this regard by father of the victim, Police swung into action and raided several places, thus leading to recovery of the girl from Gummat area in Jammu.
The girl has been restored to her family while a case under Section 363/109 of RPC has been registered against the accused.
