JAMMU, Apr 5: Gangyal Police rescued an abducted minor girl.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a family with Police Station Gangyal stating that their minor daughter has been kidnapped by a youth identified as Jaspreet Singh, a resident of Tehsil Pouni District Reasi.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant Sections was registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Gangyal led by SHO Inspector Joginder Singh raided different locations and finally rescued the minor girl. However, the abductor managed to escape from the spot and hunt continues to nab him.
After conducting medical examination, the girl was handed over to her family.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
