SRINAGAR, Aug 24: Jammu and Kashmir Bank today opened a full-fledged Business Unit (BU) at Kuligam, Lolab in district Kupwara.
State Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Abdul Haq Khan, inaugurated the business unit in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Bank’s Zonal Head, Kashmir (North), Mohammad Younis and Cluster Head, Kupwara, Mohammad Shafi Bhat.
While speaking on the occasion, Khan said, “J&K Bank is a premier financial institution of the State with an outstanding record of dedicated service for more than seven decades towards economic upliftment of the people of the State”. He urged upon the people of Kuligam and adjoining areas to conduct all their banking business with J&K Bank.
“We expect the Bank to provide all and latest banking services and facilities to the people of the area thereby helping its economy grow and develop”, he added.
The Bank’s Zonal Head said that in keeping with its commitment of taking the latest Banking facilities to far-flung area and every nook and corner of the State, the Bank will work towards the goal of extending hi-tech banking facility to people at their door step and ensure their economic development and upliftment.
Assuring the people that the Bank will continue to expand its footprint in the unbanked areas, he requested the people to extend full support to the Bank in achieving its mission.
It was 102nd business unit in the zone and with this the total number of Bank’s business units have reached to 825.
Clsuter Head Kupwara also spoke on the occasion.
