JAMMU, May 11: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh today blamed Abdullahs and Muftis of breaching the trust of people in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The intention of the Kashmir based political leadership particularly Abdullahs and Muftis has always been to create a sense of insecurity among the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their petty political gains. They’ve always breached the trust of the people of the region,” Chugh said in a statement.
Against this, he said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Government has won the hearts in J&K following the policy of “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas.”
Chugh called upon the party workers to spread the message of development works undertaken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in J&K.
He said it was in Narendra Modi Government that J&K started building a roadmap for its development and prosperity instead of playing in the hands of people propagating the gun culture.
“But J&K needs a vision beyond the gun culture that has been promoted by the Muftis and Abdullahs,” he said.
The senior BJP leader said that J&K is an integral part of the country and the UT will continue to strive to develop its own IT hubs and industrial hubs to give a new vision to the region.
He said special efforts have been made by the Modi Government for spreading education among women in J&K and training the youth for new challenges in their careers.
