Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Chugh said the BJP is following a policy of “Zero Tolerance on Terrorism.” He emphasized that the party would not let anyone harm peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
“In any case, we will not allow the peace of J&K to be harmed. The Abdullahs, Muftis, Gandhi-Nehru family, and Engineer Rasheed are continuously taking Jammu and Kashmir down the path of terrorism,” he said.
Chugh further claimed that these leaders aim to incite violence and unrest in the region. “They want to create stone pelters and reignite chaos in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
He accused these political parties of having a singular agenda of destabilizing peace in the region. “Their only agenda is to throw J&K onto burning coals, to create stone pelters, and reimpose shackles of Article 370 and 35A on the people,” Chugh said.
Chugh also expressed that the people of J&K are disillusioned with these leaders. “The people of J&K will not let their conspiracies succeed. Whether it is Rasheed, the Muftis, the Abdullahs, or the Gandhi-Nehru family, they have all been rejected by the people,” he said.
He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir would give a firm response in the upcoming Assembly elections. Criticizing the Abdullah family, Chugh said, “I want to ask Abdullah when J&K was burning, you were spending holidays in London. You created divisions between brothers who had lived together for centuries.”
Highlighting the BJP’s development agenda, he said: “Every citizen is receiving medical insurance coverage of Rs. 7 lakh. Women are getting Rs. 36,000 in pensions for old age, widowhood and impoverishment. Every elder daughter-in-law is receiving Rs. 18,000.”
Chugh accused these regional parties of being the real enemies of Jammu and Kashmir’s development. “Those who level allegations against Prime Minister Modi, like the Abdullahs, Muftis, Rasheed, and the Gandhi-Nehru family, are essentially against the progress, peace, and prosperity of J&K,” he said.
