SRINAGAR, Oct 4: Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha (ABGM), State president, Ishfaq-ur-Reham Poswal, flayed Government’s decision to hold Block Development Council (BDC) elections.
“Government has completely ignored them in BDC elections as there has been no reservation for their community”, Poswal said.
These people belong to deprived section of the society and deserve political reservation so that this deprived section could be represented in Councils and Legislature, Poswal demanded.
He appealed to Rahul Gandhi to address the problems of the migratory Gujjar community in the State.
