JAMMU, Aug 27: Abhinandan Khajuria and Nancy Gill, have barged into the grand finale of the Talaash-e- Hunnar – a Road to Stardom – 2012, organized jointly by Ram Imagine Art, Hari Om Kailash Entertainment, National Institute of Fashion Design and Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan.
This programme is organised with an aim to channelize the energy of the youth in strife-torn State of Jammu and Kashmir. Through this competition organizers are trying to promote heterogeneous and plural culture of the State. Twenty four participants – six in each category – have qualified for the grand finale to be held at Zorawar Singh Auditorium on September 9.
Such was the level of competition that judges had a real tough time in selecting best out of best. In junior category for dance Priya Singh mesmerized everybody with her performance to emerge winner. The other five winners in this category who qualified for the finals are – Ankush Sangotra, Vanshika, Tajveer Kaur, Harpreet Kaur and Nandita Rathore. In senior category for dance it was Nancy Gill who stole the show. The other who could make into the finals were Akshey Sharma, Parul Dutta, Natasha, Diksha Pandey and Nitika Malhotra.
Similarly, in junior category for singing it was Anuradha Sharma, who with her melodious voice won accolades and stood first. The other five participants who could make their presence felt were Ashwani Kumar, Akash Mehra, Shivani Choudhary, Mavish Sharma, Akarshit Verma.
In senior category for singing, Abhinandan Khajuria stole the show. The other five participants who are going to compete with him in the grand finale for the top slot are: Kuldeep Raj, Arti Dayal, Sushil Malhotra, Harsimran Singh and Vandana.
Judges for the show were Usha Raina, Neeraj Verma and Sanjeev Sodhi. Trio are known for their great contribution in Art and Culture. Besides judging the event, they also tried to encourage youngsters to know more and more about their culture.
