Srinagar, June 12: Police today prevented scores of Yatris from entering Beerwa town in Central Kashmir for ‘Abhinav Gupt Yatra’.
Police and Central Reserve Police Force personnel were heavily deployed in Beerwa town and temporary check points were installed at all the entry points of the town to thwart the proposed Yatra.
Over a dozen of yatris tried to enter the town for the yatra but they were stopped by police and sent back to Srinagar.
The yatra was being organized by a New Delhi-based organization, Acharya Abhinav Gupt Samaroh Samiti.
