JAMMU, Oct 7: Akhil Bharatiya Mahajan Shiromani Sabha (ABMSS) organized an all India Mahajan conference at Press Club, here today.
The delegates from all over the India participated in the conference and took many important decisions unanimously for the welfare of the community.
The main decisions that were taken include release of scholarship to widows from coming new year as same has been withheld for last two years, temporary shifting of Malviya Nagar (New Delhi) Head Office of Shiromani Sabha to Mahajan Bhawan Haridwar for carrying out necessary repairs in the Head Office building at Delhi.
It was also decided that ‘New Mahajan Samachar’—official newspaper of Shiromani Sabha will be published from Mahajan Bhawan Haridwar after registration there. A five-member committee headed by Ramesh Gupta, ex-general secretary was also formed to suggest amendments to the Constitution of the Sabha within 6 months, which will be considered by a special conference, which will be called by the president.
The meeting further decided that retirement age of all the employees of the Sabha whether part time, honorary or regular will be 70 years including staff of Mahajan Bhawan Haridwar and new members for the Sabha will be enrolled through local Mahajan Sabhas by October 31, 2018.
