KISHTWAR, Aug 4: Around 24 thousand pilgrims have performed ‘darshan’ at holy darbar of Mata Chandi at Machail till this evening.
The annual Machail Yatra which commenced on 25th of July has gained momentum and since then till this evening around 24 thousand pilgrims have performed darshan. As per DC Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav, a total of 4261 pilgrims including 1688 female and 547 children performed darshan at Machail Temple today.
Not only devotees from various parts of Jammu and Kashmir are arriving but also devotees from other parts of country have performed darshan. Setting an example for others, specially-abled lady Jyoti from Madhya Pradesh was amongst such devotees who reached Mata Machail darbar and performed darshan. Sharing her experience she said that she feel blessed to be part of this holy yatra and hope to continue in future.
Meanwhile, thousands of pilgrims are enroute and with the improved facilities of lodging, transport, medical, electricity, mobile service, toilets and security grid, they seem very much impressed. On other hand, langer service at various locations is continuing and is expected that as the days pass flow of pilgrims will increase.
