JAMMU, Dec 22: Akhil Bhartiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad (ABPSSP) today held a function here, today to honour war widow, Vishno Devi, wife of Sepoy Rattan Singh who had laid down his life in the 1948 war against the Kabalis (Pak invaders) in Kashmir.
Brig (retd) Balbir Singh Sambyal, president, ABPSSP in an emotional address said what the Veernari has lost cannot be compensated with anything but certainly the nation will remain indebted to her forever.
Capt (retd) Surjit Singh Chib, president Bhau tehsil informed the gathering that Bhau Tehsil unit of Akhil Bhartiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad will always work for the welfare of war widows, ex-servicemen and in national Interest.
Capt (Retd) Krishan Singh, secretary briefed everyone about the membership drive to increase the number of members.
The event was declared closed with the singing of the National Anthem and the slogan of Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata ki Jai.
