JAMMU, Sept 23: State BJP spokesperson, Prof. Virender Gupta today said that as the situation in the Valley is showing the sign of improvement, the political leadership of Valley and those with vested interests, so called well wishers of the separatists started showing their colours.
In a statement issued here he said when the Government decided to retaliate and reply Pakistan in its own terms after the Uri episode, NC leaders Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah, expressed their serious concern over the escalation of tension between India and Pakistan and its ramifications on peace and stability in the region. He raised the question on their silence when the Valley was boiling due to Pakistan sponsored terrorist activities and the people were on streets raising anti-India, pro-Pak slogans and asking for Islamization of the Valley.
Prof. Virender also criticized them for again raising the boggy of political solution of Jammu and Kashmir and showing their concern about the absence of any meaningful political initiative. He said that it is not the time to initiate any process for the political solution as the situation has yet to become normal and added that any solution for Jammu and Kashmir would depend on the wishes of the majority of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and majority of demands abrogation of Article 370 as  this article is the root cause of present mess in the State.
Prof. Virender also condemned the statement of Radha Kumar that “present unrest if comes to an end, can re-erupt anytime, if issues remain unaddressed” and asking for initiating dialogue with Hurriyat and JKLF leaders. He said that the recommendation of the interlocutors of which Radha Kumar was a member were aimed to placate the separatist elements and were against the interests of the country. In these recommendations justice was not done to the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions, to the minorities and the nationalist elements of the Valley, he added.
