JAMMU, Aug 25: Taking a dig at political parties who are advocating for Article 370 and 35 A, former president BJP J&K Sat Sharma (CA) lambasted the callous approach of Kashmir based parties and Congress towards inhabitants of UT and alleged their approach was against humanity. He stated this at a joining program held at district headquarters of Jammu West where dozens of people including youth hailing from Valmiki Samaj joined the party fold.
While strongly defending the decision of Narendra Modi Government regarding annulling of controversial Article 370 and 35 A, he said this ended discrimination with majority of people of J&K especially West Pak refugees, Valmiki Samaj and Gorkha Samaj who for decades were deprived of citizenship rights.
Jarnail Singh Khokhar, a Trade Union activist and general secretary of Safai Karamchari Union joined BJP along with his supporters. They were welcomed into the party fold by former BJP president, Sat Sharma (CA), district president Jammu West, Munish Khajuria, former district president, Ayodhya Gupta and district Sangathan Mantri Mohan Singh Rana.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said Valmiki Samaj, Gorkha Samaj and refugees were relieved of decades of torture by PM, Narendra Modi after abrogating the controversial Article 370 and 35 A which was merely a deal between two dynastic parties which led to deterioration of development across Jammu and Kashmir. He said denying lakhs of people of their fundamental rights and depriving their children of doing professional and other jobs in J&K was injustice to humanity. He complimented PM Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah and party leadership for showing their concern for J&K’s development and freeing J&K from shackles of darkness.
Munish Khajuria talked about the consequences faced by the people of above mentioned communities before the August 5 last year and stated that after the abrogation of the Article a new dawn of hope and an era of development has emerged across UT which has changed the overall scenario in Jammu and Kashmir.
Jarnail Singh complimented the party leadership and PM Modi for taking a historical step and providing relief to lakhs of people belonging to the communities which were placed under many miseries and were denied many rights.
District general secretaries Advocate Rajesh Gupta and Karan Sharma conducted the proceedings of the program. District vice president, Jaideep Sambyal, treasurer Neeraj Gupta, office secretary, Raman Sharma and IT Cell incharge, Satyabhushan Dubey were also present.
