JAMMU, Apr 9: Vishawa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today said that the nationalist people will not only carry the Tricolour in their hands in J&K State but also lathis to beat those who oppose the unfurling of National Flag in the State.
This was stated by State president of VHP, Leela Karan Sharma while talking to reporters here long with vice president of the organization, Rajesh Gupta and its general secretary, Shakti Dutt Sharma.
Lambasting the National Conference president and former Chief Minster, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president, Mehbooba Mufti who said that in case the Articles 35-A and 370 were abrogated there will be no one to carry the Tricolour in their hands and J&K to secede to be the part of India, Leela Karan Sharma said Kashmir is not the personnel property of NC and PDP leaders but belongs to 130 crore people of India which has been part of Bharat since the ‘Puranic period’.
The VHP leaders extended full support to the political leadership of the country which has resolved to abrogate Articles 370 and 35-A of Indian Constitution. “We welcome the resolve of that political organization which is for abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A”, he added.
The VHP leaders also warned the henchmen of the NC and PDP in Jammu and asked them to desist from propagating their anti national philosophy and dancing to the tune of their political bosses in Kashmir. They also made an fervent appeal to the people of the country to give two third majority to the political party in the Lok Sabha elections by voting enmass in favour of the party and strengthen the hands of nationalist forces so that no one can tomorrow take an excuse that they did not have requisite majority to abrogate the discriminatory articles.
The VHP leaders while strongly condemning the statements of NC and PDP leaders in this regard as well as the demand of NC for separate PM for J&K said that those making such statements are living in fools’ paradise. They said that in one nation there can’t be two Prime Ministers.
They said the Jammu people and nationalist forces in the State have enough courage to meet the challenge of anti national leaders and recalled the role of the nationalist people of the State in general and Jammu region in particular during the 2008 Amarnath land row agitation.
The VHP leaders said abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A which distanced the people of State from rest of country will solve the 70 years crisis in the State.
