JAMMU, Mar 10: Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, Jammu and Kashmir, has expressed strong resentment over delay in DPC of Teachers to Masters pending since 2014 and initiating Annual Transfer Driver-2024.
In its meeting under the leadership of Rattan Sharma ( State President ABRSM), Shaikshik Mahasangh alleged that Directorate of School Education Jammu has failed to fix the criteria for fixing seniority of Teachers for promotion as Masters.
“We believe that they are engaging in delaying tactics and we have had enough proofs of the same. Director School Education Jammu despite several assurances to Teachers for conduct of DPC seems playing with the emotions of Teachers with these delay tactics. Even after repeated exercise by the department from couple of years no concrete solution has been drawn,” said Rattan Sharma.
Another important issue discussed in the meeting was Annual Transfer Driver (ATD-2024), which has not been initiated this year for no reasons. There are still many teachers who are working in far flung areas and were not considered for transfer under ATD-2023 despite serving at the same place for more than five to ten years, said ABRSM and asked the Directorate of School Education to clarify whether ATD-2024 will be conducted or not.
ABRSM also strongly opposed the School Education Department’s move asking those teachers to submit documents who have acquired higher qualification during service and that too obtaining proper permissions from the competent authorities. It is an irony that the administration is bent upon harassing the teaching community by demanding years old admit cards, date sheets of exams, said ABRSM and demanded immediate withdrawal of such order since it the duty of department to verify whether the permissions are fake or justified.
The other members, who attend the meeting from across the UT, included Gulshan Raina, Satya Bhushan, Pawan Sharma, Sanjeev Dutta, Aruna Parihar, Gurdeep Kumar, Rakesh, Sanjay Sharma, all district Presidents, district General Secretaries and executive members.
