JAMMU, Apr 21: Gandhi Nagar police arrested an absconder, who was at large for the past 17 years.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station conducted raid and arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past seventeen years.
The accused has been identified as Daljeet Singh, son of Uttam Singh, a resident of Nanak Nagar.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 126/2000 with police station Gandhi Nagar and arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by Ld City Judge, JMIC Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Retish Sambyal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
