JAMMU, Aug 9: Digiana police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past 24 years.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Digiana Police Post conducted a raid and arrested an absconder, who was at large since 1990.
The accused has been identified as Satpal, son of late Bansi Lal, a resident of Rani Talab.
The absconder was wanted in a case registered with Digiana Police Post under FIR number 212/1990 under Section 295 and 295-A RPC.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team headed by Incharge Police Post Digiana SI Ashok Bazaz made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Police Station Manzoor Ahmed Kohli, SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh and SP South Rahul Malik.
