JAMMU, Sept 5: Gandhi Nagar police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past three years.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was at large since 2013.
The arrested person has been identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Kuldeep Raj, a resident of Nanak Nagar.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 76/2004 under Sections 457 and 380 RPC with police station Gandhi Nagar. Arrest warrant also stands issued against him by Special Municipal Court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar DySP (P) Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
