RAMBAN, Dec 30: Banihal police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for last 16 years.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Banihal Police Station led by SHO Banihal Abid Hussain Bhukhari and assisted by SI Ramesh Kumar under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Sajjad Sarwar, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest since 2003.
The accused has been identified as Rajpaul Singh, son of Mohan Singh, a resident of Ludhiana Punjab.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 95/2003 under Sections 279, 337 and 304-A RPC with Police Station Banihal.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
